Coastal Webcams Enhancing Situational Awareness and Hazard Monitoring Across the Mid-Atlantic
MARACOOS webcams provide continuous visual observation of the coast, helping to monitor shoreline changes, rip currents, coastal hazards, fog and visibility and flood conditions. These images enhance situational awareness and support alerts for coastal hazards, contributing to public safety and better-informed decision-making.
Our webcams are part of the larger WebCOOS network, which brings together coastal cameras from across the region. Images and video feeds are also integrated into OceansMap, giving users an interactive way to explore real-time coastal conditions.
