The Mid-Atlantic MBON tracks changes in marine life, from microscopic organisms to iconic species like right whales and Atlantic sturgeon, to support healthy ecosystems and sustainable coastal economies. MARACOOS contributes oceanographic data, modeling, and interactive tools that, combined with biological observations, help inform fisheries management, offshore energy planning, and marine conservation. Open-access datasets and visualizations will be available through MARACOOS OceansMap and the MBON Portal, supporting science, management, and education across the region.
